Hi. My name is Catrin.
I'm a qualified psychotherapist, offering face-to-face counselling sessions in Penarth and online - in English or yn Gymraeg (or a bit of both, if you like).
About Me /
Pwt Amdana i
I have a Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling; a practitioner qualification approved by the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapy (BACP).
I'm also a full member of the BACP; you can read my profile here.
I practice counselling within the BACP's ethical framework, meaning my clients' safety, confidentiality and wellbeing are of the utmost importance to me.
Specifically, I practice integrative counselling for adults. There are different approaches to counselling, such as person-centred, psychodynamic or CBT. Integrative counselling is a flexible form of therapy that means I can draw on a combination of tools, skills and techniques tailored to your needs.
The Welsh word astud means 'attentive'; that is what I aspire to be with my clients. Whatever is on your mind, I will attend to you by listening to your experiences and feelings, and I will be your companion as we work towards your goals, side by side.
Ble / Where
My counselling room is 9 mins' walk from Penarth train station. It’s wheelchair accessible, and there is free on-street parking nearby.
I’m equally happy to provide counselling online.
How it works / Be nesa'
Taking the first step towards therapy can feel intimidating.
I offer a free, initial 15min phone-call to all new clients; an informal chat to establish the practicalities of what you're looking for and whether I'm a good fit for you. If you feel encouraged, we'll take it from there.
My fee for all subsequent therapy sessions is £55 per 60min session. This fee applies to both face-to-face and online sessions.
Contact / Cysylltu
If you'd like to enquire about an initial phonecall or if you have any questions at all, please contact me via the form below.
